Coast Guard leads joint campaign to boost maritime safety

The Coast Guard Command has launched a joint maritime inspection campaign in collaboration with key security departments and other government agencies.
The campaign focused on detecting maritime violations, ensuring boats and captains are properly licensed, checking for illegal foreign workers, and auditing passenger shipping companies for legal compliance.
A number of vital marine areas were inspected under coordinated security plans. Several violations and irregularities were identified, and discussions are underway with relevant authorities to address these issues.
The Coast Guard stressed that the campaign aims not only to enforce regulations but also to raise awareness among seafarers and improve safety standards across Bahrain’s maritime sector.
