stc Bahrain has been recognised as the “Talent Development Strategic Partner” at the Huawei Bahrain 2024 ICT Talent Achievement Closing Ceremony, reinforcing its position as a national leader in empowering Bahraini youth to drive the country’s digital economy.

The award was presented at the eLearning Center at the University of Bahrain, where industry leaders, government officials, and academics gathered to mark key achievements in ICT education. The recognition reflects stc Bahrain’s role in aligning digital innovation with national economic goals under Bahrain’s Vision 2030.

Investing in skills

At the heart of the company’s talent strategy is the Jeel ICT programme, a fully nationalised training initiative designed to bridge academic learning and industry readiness. The programme equips young Bahrainis with practical, market-relevant skills to contribute directly to the Kingdom’s technological advancement.

stc Bahrain has attracted more than USD 130 million in IT investment to date and continues to play a central role in expanding the country’s tech infrastructure. With the support of programmes like Jeel ICT, Bahrain’s ICT sector is projected to see a 35% increase in IT employment by 2027.
