Tyson Fury, the former world heavyweight champion, is set to make a comeback in 2026, according to Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority. Fury retired in January following a defeat to Oleksandr Usyk but now appears ready to return to the ring.

A Promise from the Gypsy King

Alalshikh posted on social media after meeting Fury, declaring, “The ‘Gypsy King’ will be back!!! I have his word for Riyadh Season in 2026… We have a rabbit to hunt!” Fury responded playfully, hinting at plans for 2025 with emojis implying excitement and potential earnings.

Revenge on the Horizon

Speaking at a boxing event in Istanbul, Fury named Usyk as his preferred opponent if he returns. “I want my revenge in England,” Fury said, making clear that a rematch remains his top priority.

Saudi Arabia: Fury’s Boxing Hub

Fury’s last three fights took place in Saudi Arabia, underscoring the kingdom’s growing role in high-profile boxing. His planned 2026 return is set to be part of Riyadh’s entertainment calendar, continuing Saudi Arabia’s push into the global sports spotlight.
